    my very own swap thread! :D

    okay well today i finally got somewhere!
    dropped out the M42 to make room for the M52B28!!!!!!

    heres where i am as of now!
    started at 6 went to eat at 8 then came bak to pull the motor!


















    and tomorrow i will be removing my brake booster and cleanin up my engine bay!

                    looks great cleaned up! look forward to following your progress....hopefully i'll be able to swap mine someday. It's either change timing chain/gears/guides...or save a little extra for swap.

                        I do...but am fiercely debating with the devil on my shoulder about the cost of maintaining/replacing stock...or adding a tablespoon of power.

                          Just be careful how you go about adding power. With too much extra weight over the nose you will really miss the turn-in and general [steering/suspension] feel of the M42. That's the whole reason I regret selling mine and keeping all of my 6-cylinder cars. They call it the baby M3 for a reason.

                            it only took me a little under 3 hours to get mine out VERY simpe to swap them out (if you may become interested) and my M42 also has new timing chains chain cover and tensioners :D
