A little update to the 318is....

17x7.5" SSR Type C, 215/40/17 Falken RT-615. Wheels are ET 37, so I'm running ECS spacers, 15mm up front and 20mm out back.

And since the crown of the road was messing with muh stance, I took a pic in the driveway to show where it's really sitting.

I'm thinking just a bit lower in the rear and bit more than that in the front.

I've got a TMS chip sitting here on the desk waiting to go in, Mtech I wing sitting in the garage, TMS stainless steel lines in the garage as well, Euro trim on the way from blunt, and my calipers and pads for my Massive Street kit on the way from Lee.

I'll get that stuff done, add some "is" side skirts and a splitter for the lip and that will pretty much get the car where I want it for now.

Maybe an intake with heatshield and a muffler......................

Love the ssr comps. They look great in 17's. BTW if you do an intake w/heatshield, the tone of the m42 will completely change...in an awesome way.

Completely honest. I prefer driving this more than the S52 car I had.

Those 215s look really narrow on those 7.5s

Thanks for the compliments guys. Now that the wheels are on the car, I like them even more than I thought I would. I'm glad I went ahead and pulled the trigger before these became NLA.

And since I haven't driven on REAL tires in about 10 years, these RT-615s have a stupid amount of grip, although they are definitely noisy.

Thanks Dennis, I've been dying to get them on for just that reason.

It's amazing how much a set of wheels will change the look on these cars.

I think it looks that way because of the HUGE rim protector. The rim protector is sticking out a 3/8" past the "edge" of the wheel making it almost look like the tires are stretched or something. But they fit great.

I'd like a little more spacer, but I wanted to convert to Vorshlag studs, and even with the 90mm studs, 20mm is as wide as you can go. The fitment isn't super aggressive or anything, but if I felt the need to tuck rim like a BTCC car or something, I could do so without destroying the fenders.

What color is that? Amazing. If you go more low, invest in a skid plate or oil pan stock ;) Damn M42 pans look like they are aiming for bumps sometimes.

I have to say though, I love it.

Thor, GC coils with shortened front housings, GC camber plates, poly subframe mounts and RTABs, not sure if the car has M3 cabs on it or not.

ck, car has a race skids plate on it already. ;)

Think I'm going to go throw on my black kidneys and see if I like the look of it.
