Yep just picked her up today. 89 325i auto.
Future plans:
GC Coilovers
24v Swap
Get rid of the Bottle Caps...Not sure for what though. But, I'm open to suggestions.

Ya, joking aside, I picked her up with plans to use the engine. She's got 200k on the clock. Which doesn't bother me considering it has been bolted up to an automatic all it's life and supposedly has a rebuilt head(confirmed only by peering into the oil cap with a flashlight and seeing shiny new goodness. Lets hope that a compression test doesn't shatter my dreams.
My current engine is still running but not as good as it used to(badly worn rings and one cracked one).
Anyway, I got it for $300. I'll prolly take what I want/need from it and part the rest out(time and space permitting).
Its a bit of a shame though cause it looked like it was a pretty clean 4dr till it got all smashed up. Would have been great candidate for a 5sd swap.
I may document this budget project(again time permitting).
Namaste,
Mikey

Want to ship the driver and passenger seat belt clips (the part bolted to the seat) to me for shipping price?
Ask me again when I start that process later(I'll start a part out thread). I'm pretty sure that the comfort seats installed are minty and I would almost rather sell those as complete.

Got it from a local BMW tech(friend of a friend). He bought it from another tech as is with intentions of building s-eta with es that he had also purchased. Those plans changed when he sold the drive train from the es.
I hope all goes well with my intentions.

Spent most of yesterday afternoon cutting off the core support and removing a all the unnecessarily/broken accessories.
The oxy/acetylene cutting torch was pretty cool. I let my buddy Burt do all the cutting cause I tend to be very accident prone when using a tool of that magnitude for the first time. Never seen one in action before. It was like ad glowing red knife through butter.
This will make pulling the engine next week a piece of cake.
Till next time.....
