    EurostopUSA CFRP lip

Put on my new EurostopUSA CFRP lip with my custom splitter for the first AutoX of the season. It took a few cones off the splitter, but no damage so thats always a good start.

I like it, but would be scared shitless that I would break the shit out of it.

Hmmm, I kinda dig that lip. Definitely makes making a splitter easier.

On my second run of the day I absolutely NAILED a cone right dead center of the splitter. When i got back to the grid, I didn't want to get out because i figured it would be all sorts of F'd up. Luckily there was no damage at all. Even took a couple more hits throughout the day and no damage! The CFRP lip is really good quality. Pretty strong, but a little bit of flexibility. The splitter is just version 1.0. I would ultimately like to get a CF splitter to go with the lip, but I wasn't willing to spend that much money not knowing how it would take to hitting cones.

It doesn't look too bad, although I'm not feeling the splitter or the black valance. Of course, if this is a dedicated track car, those sentiments go out the window...

              Who else concurs? I do.

Here's a question (not for Ary), is it ACTUAL Carbon Fiber or Plastic with a Carbon Fiber skin? If it's true Carbon Fiber, I see these as ALMOST being worth it. If it's "Carbon Fiber reinforced Plastic", it's not worth the price at all (IMO).

I get the appeal, but the price blows then. Here, let me get you a Rieger Lip and stick a giant Carbon Fiber sticker on it then sell it for 3x mark up. Good deal, yeah?

Glad you're happy with it OP. I just don't see how anyone can justify buying something that's barely genuine if not down right a poorly made fake. Sold, of course, as a genuine "Carbon Fiber" item.

I don't know the process with which they make it. But it looks to me as though they lay the CF cloth down first in the mold, then cover the back with a plastic that hardens. So the front is true CF, with a plastic backing. So no, its not all CF to answer your question

That looks like the parking lots outside the barber track right? I did not know they did autox there.

Yes and No. No, its not outside Barbers. Its at the parking lot of the Birmingham Race Course (ie dogtrack). But yes, they do a couple autox's a year out at Barber's.
