New to forum & new e30

I bought this 1985 325e for $500 delivered. It was not running when I purchased it, but I got it fired up today. The power sunroof and windows work fine, it has some rust, but not bad (worst, by far, is the passenger rear fender). 5 speed car, unknown miles. I will be swapping in an "i" head over the summer and adding boost :D

(wire hanging out of the trunk is for a battery charger)

Garrett T3 graciously donated to me by the previous owner of my buddy's M3 :)

The car had a bad main relay. I'm off to order a new one tonight along with a new throttle body boot. The seller told me it also needs a new carrier bearing, so I'll get that taken care of as well. The interior is rough, but I plan on making this a part time track car, so it's not a big deal as I'll probably rip a lot of it out. We'll see.

I see this was the car on craigslist. Glad someone bought it. I was going to go down and look at it but didn't feel up to the drive lol. Good luck with the car and welcome to r3v

            Yup, the one in Parkville.

I don't think I can complain for the price. It came with the chilton's manual, a CD player (no speakers though), the factory HU, dash cover, and some other odds and ends. It also seems like the battery will hold a charge, which surprised the hell out of me.

Isn't that normal ride height? It might have drop springs, I don't really know. The interior used to light up blue & the windshield washer nozzles apparently light up. The whole car has been torn apart so anything could have happened. As for the grill, I have no idea. It looks like it melted ???
