anyways i totaled my '85 318 in october and bought this a week later and flew down to LA to pick it up, it was in ok condition but i still replaced every maintnence item, p/s hoses, engine mounts, still need to replace all suspension bushings and yesterday i had my car up in the air and i noticed both rear shocks starting to leak and one of my front shocks is spewing oil everywhere so i think im gonna go all out and throw some h&r sport springs and sport bilistiens. oh dont bash my dirty floor mats or the lack of fog lights, i lamin-x'ed the inner part of my fog lights (on the reflector part) and am waiting for the lenses from BMP. i also replaced both front fenders installed my system and repainted the fenders and doors (waiting till summer to do an entire re-spray) comments welcome, thanks.
custom carpeted battery cover, took five minutes to do and makes the trunk look better!
my system:
....i made the amp rack out of 1/4 inch MDF and mounted the rear speaker cross-overs in the center of the two amps, notice: no wires visible!!!! except the power wire fuses (last minute hack job). also i had to modify the front kick panels to accomodate the two way speakers (havent put in the front tweeters yet but have the crossover installed). finally on the rear parcel shelf i mounted the tweeters next to the driver so they would reflect the sound waves off the rear windsheild (see pic).
.....all ICE is alpine except the wiring which is phenoix gold. killer setup. please leave feedback.
