    My $497 E30.

Missing some trim pieces, but I pulled it out of some lady's yard after being broken down for 2 years. I have $497 into the entire car. I plan on raising the rear a 1/2" because it looks a bit broken as it sits.

nice find. I don't think the rear is broken though, the later models have the appearance of sagging in the rear but they have different wheel arches then the early models. GL with it!

for a moment there I understood you bought the car for $497...
it looks like it has bullet casings where the lug nuts go.

          You're right, shotgun shells ;)

Actually, I got the car for free to get it out of a lady's yard. It had a broken timing belt.

new engine to re-use the head - $275
          wheels and tires - $150
          SPAX lowering springs - $50
          Head gasket - $22

          :D

i drove through rural georgia last spring and noticed there does seem to be an impressive amount of vehicles sitting inactive in people's yards.

nice score, looks solid and rust-free.

What a great find! It's amazing what you can do with minimal $ and a little mechanical knowledge.

Pretty common. Southerners dont like getting rid of shit, and space isnt an issue. If we have anything, its space.
