I like Newmans build thread, but I couldn't agree more with the above post.

Love the Compomotives, I've always wanted a set of THs! They look sick, I would probably have gone with silver or white, but either way they look very tidy on your car, and ride height is spot on :up:
I vote for stickers, but they're still badass without.

Lol. Touche... I still think the wheels look wrong, old and cheap, regardless if they are any of those things... But I hateeeeeee period correct and think everything should have a motorswap, a turbo kit, huge exhaust with blast pipes and race buckets...

Try em out for a while. I'm sure the color will grow on you. If not, paint is an easy solution (or powder coating). Personally, I think they look just right. I'm jealous in that you get to roll on them for a while. I still have to get my engine fired up! :p

That 55mm flat plastic cap is cool. <drool> I'll have to drop a line to the factory. At one time I was going to put the roundel on the cap but I have to say I like the compmotive logo much, much better.

Again, I will probably giggle uncontrollably when I see your car in person.. Just want to warn you. Here's some logo options they have:


They didn't have the flags logo, but sent me the yellow and black ones. I might see if they have the flags back in. You should look into the yellow ones (I've got my set if you're really jazzed on them).

The rims are 16x8 ET 25. I'm running 215/ 45's tires

Since it was a bit of a gamble being that I haven't put tires on these wheels before, I just went with some Dunlop Direzza's. They have a really meaty side wall for scratch protection, so they look almost stretched by nature. I rubbed about 1mm off of the inside of the fronts on my strut towers. At rest they don't rub, but I guess heated up they expanded out a little. I also rub at full lock up front a little on the front plastics, but nothing major at all. So, everything is squeezed in just right.

Going to weld in some camber correction out back, so I can run some good tires without killing them in 6 months. I want to get into some Eagle F1's for the next go around.

Again, I'm on the fence about the spoiler too.. I'll just wait it out and see how I feel. Thanks for the comments!
