    first e30

about 8 hours ago, I bought my first e30 after quite a few months of looking.
    traded 2001 kx85+$1000 for it.
drove it about 100 miles, and the timing belt broke. Shame on me for taking the PO's word that it had been changed ~10k miles ago.
I didn't hear any knocking after it broke... but, havent gotten it back home yet to take it apart. will have pics tomorrow.

    edit: I'm still psyched:)

I'm waiting to see what kind of damage there is internally.
if it's r3v'd... well then I'd have a decision to make, m30b35 or m50. all depends on prices as well.

also, i dont see the point in buying a new head if you plan on keeping the car. m50 it.

I agree with swapping it if there isn't internal damage... just have to get padre to agree.
still haven't gotten it home, calling AAA.

If you broke your timing belt, be prepared to find a few bent valves.

I have the parts you need to fix it, pm me if your gonna stay SOHC.

the timing belt wasn't BROKEN, but it had 5-6 inches of belt teeth missing.
also, so far I have 1 broken rocker arm. taking the head off tomorrow before work.
                            edit: ^^ that.
also, cant find/too pissed to look for camera.

                              Shit, that sucks.

Take this opportunity to change the common wear items around your engine and make sure your maintenance is up to date.
