    took me a while but i finally got mine polished, needs a little more sanding but its pretty much done

            The metal M50 valve covers are magnesium, aren't they?

                right after you finish compounding, put some wax on it (apply, wait, remove) just like waxing a car. Do this every 2-3 weeks and itll stay shiny :D
