There really isn't a way back on the hwy, unless i take a side road by the water, and then comeback through traffic and shit. :( Yeah, I've been dodging manholes, cracks and stuff ever since the drop. my friends think im crazyLeave a comment:

alternate route? Sucks...but part of being lowered. Atleast throw some zipties on ur lip...so you can keep it.Leave a comment:

Uhhh...no. There's an enevitable, rather large set of cracks on HWY 880 south in Oakland, that I need to take in order to get home from practice. I always slow down, brace for impact. I try hitting it while changing lanes (not straight on) but I get that loud thump, and a few days ago my I lip was dragging on a side when I got home.I live in CA and I have Eibach Sports (Same Drop I believe)...I have an i Lip and i have front cut springs...I'm tucking tire and I never hit the lip other than on STEEP driveways. Just dodge potholes. I've yet to scrape anything on the freeways.
Your doing something wrong.
iS lip may bring problems tho, so I'm not knocking your advice...its valid.Leave a comment:

It's actually very durable. People use it on their front lips and it hold up really well. I wouldn't advise him to use the stuff to cover up rust, that never fixes anything. Get rid of the rust then coat it with some primer and repaint.i wouldn't personally use plasti-dip on anything, let alone the rockers. it looks fine, but i question how well it will hold up, especially since the dude above is saying he's got some rust issues.
i'd definitely prime those areas before you hit em and use something more hardcore than plasti-dip. go to a bodyshop and ask what they use for undercoating, that should do the trick.
also, dude who said he hit his i lip on the highway at that height. yikes. :)
Yes, on my list of things to do.
He is talking truth. My IS lip already scrapes on some driveways and stuff. Not saying I am low. If I try and avoid touching it then it doesn't scrape anything. the first few days I had the lip was pure hell.I live in CA and I have Eibach Sports (Same Drop I believe)...I have an i Lip and i have front cut springs...I'm tucking tire and I never hit the lip other than on STEEP driveways. Looks good but, I hate the way E30's look without skirts, my ix skirts do the job of covering it up. Are you planning on getting is skirts?Leave a comment:

Nope no primer, go to lowes and pick up a can of plasti-dip and just spray it on.Did you paint around the factory jacking points and stuff? It looks like that area is also painted black on E30s. I've got some surface rust starting due to the paint being chipped and what not. I figured I'd wire brush attachment+drill it clean, but was wondering if I'd need to use some sort of primer or something.Leave a comment:
