    I like that picture.

Get fog lenses for the 318. :D

Great find with 323, you should tell us a bit more about it. :)

I love E21's. There's a guy here in town with a blue 323i. It's a little worse-for-wear but is still awesome. You should talk to Greg (M-Technik-3) and see if he can get you a set of the white front indicators to replace the orange ones. I've seen a few cars with them, they look the business.

The thing about E21's that i dont like is this side marker on the rear.

Okay Ryan.. I think you've mentioned that before. ;) I'm thinking 'bout it. K? You know that the only reason you're giving me such a hard time about it is because your jealous.

Here's a little more info on the 323i. The car has 160k on it. Engine was completely rebuilt in the late 80's. Apparently when the car was only 7 years old, the head gasket went and caused water to get in with the oil.. and all that mess. So anyway, the rebuilt engine only has 75k on it. The car seem to have gone through DOT and EPA. I have all the service records from 87 on. The car was owned by the same person from 87-2002, located in NC (away from the coast) The car still has original cloth recaros in fair shape. That's all I can think of for now.

Rachel, where in NC did you pick it up?

Sounds like a pretty sweet E21. A friend of mine in Elkin, NC has a eurospec E21 323i also. It has been painted a knock-off of Henna Red, and has a lot of Alpina parts from the late 70's and early 80's.

            I dig your cars. :D

I picked up the car in Beaufort NC.. However it has only been there for 6-9mos. Before that, since 87 it was in Chapel Hill NC.

                Here are some rear-end pics:

The car is really filthy dirty.. I feel awful about that. But I really have not had a day above 35 degrees here since I got the car! The weather is being a royal pain!

I have been putting all my 323i pictures here http://webmail.ceva.net/~rachey04/pi...%20323%20pics/ I plan to be adding a bunch more tonight. So wait until then to look at em :-)

Yup it's been thru convert process as it has sealed beam and silly side markers. I do have a tail light for it if you need one or would prefer a set.

E21's can be done up mega cool. With proper wheel and paint. Great find as there are hardly any of the older BMW's on the north shore of the east coast. Salt gets em.

M-technik-3.. Thanks. Any advice you wanna give me would be very welcome. I still have a lot to learn and you seem to really know your stuff.

Yeah, rust seems to be the main concern with these cars. As you can see in the pictures, there are 3.. maybe 4? small spots of surface rust on the car which I plan on attending to ASAP. However, the underneath of the car is in awesome shape. Shock towers are clean, frame is solid. .etc.

I have been thinking about what to do for wheels/tires on the 323. 185s just ain't near wide enough.. and 13s really aren't tall enough. I'd really like to find a set of 15in Alpina's.. however all the ones I've found so far have been waaaay 'spensive! What wheels do you think look best on these cars?

Hey.. I'd love to get a tail light lense (don't need the whole assmply).. preferrably both lenses. How much do you want for a set? (if possible) You can PM me if you want.

                    Thanks!

                      G'day,

My cousin had the rims below (Simmons OM17) on his E21 320i a year or two back and they looked awesome. Unfortunately I don't have any pics (as he no longer has the car) but I can tell you that even though he had 17" (which is very big for the E21), he had the car lowered nicely to give it an absolutely awesome look! BTW the car was hot red but even so, I think they could look very classy on your E21!!!

I'm not sure if you can get Simmons wheels in the US (they are an AUS made brand - extremely good quality) but I imagine you could. Also, I'm not sure on their cost.. but just thought I'd share that with you... just an idea for later on if you wanted the name of some very nice rims indeed!!! Hope this helps,

                      --Pete :)

                        Hey thanks
I really wasn't thinking about going any bigger than 15in..
But I will keep what you said in mind and be on the lookout.
They are very nice lookin' wheels :-)
