some of us aren't rich bmw owners, whose parents only drive bmw's, whose grandparents only drove bmw's.
While he may not have a large bmw-collection budget, my dad has a few datsun 240z's in various stages of restoration. so garage space is limited.
I also have a few cars myself. This swap is done in my girlfriends garage, and I am very thankful for her letting me use her space.
And no I will not be assembling the motor in that garage. I will assemble the motor at my buddies garage (his dad has a very nice facility) and either bringing the motor back to my gf's garage and putting it in there, or towing the car to my buddies garage and putting it in there.

um, all that time and money, you should really get rid of the bottleneck. that's gonna severely limit the potential of that motor. just my .02...
