There are a couple guys without dyno sheets on M42Club.com claiming 300hp+ using 100% stock internals running 15 psi boost and pump gas. Based on my experience they are full of shit. What do you think?

I don't know if they are full of shit or not, cause mine doesn't make that kind of power. I know mine makes 215 to the wheels with 10psi and very little and safe timing. I will eventually turn mine up when I find a S50/52 to replace the m42 with. I guess we will see then. Based on others with a similar setup, the head starts to lift at around 17psi with just bolts. You may be able to get a little more but then have to deal with detonation with it being a 10 to 1 motor stock. Not sure if 5 more psi will produce that much more power, but you never know.

I have alot more money into this project than I would like to admit. I tend to spend money on things not wanting to wait, big mistake. The turbo is a T3/T4 hybrid internal wastegate set at 10psi. Makes enough power for me as a weekend driver. This car has been in the family since new, so I tend not to beat on it much.

Is your setup intercooled or not? DO you have a custom chip? I imagine that an m42 running 10 pounds of boost should be making at least 250 at the wheels.

Intercooled, yes. And he's running full standalone MegaSquirt.

And you're very wrong with your number guesstimate.

Yes it is intercooled. Stand alone ecu running megasquirt. The tune on my car is very conservative. When it was tuned on the dyno with a listening device during no time was there audible knock. I don't doubt it would make much more power with more timing, but that is not what I was after.

Could have been, you sell it? I think I have emailed everyone in the world who is selling a diff with less gear than I have now. :)

I guess I overestimated the m42 engine. getting it confused with m52 numbers

Danny, what do you think are reasonable numbers for these motors? I think mine is doing ok for the tune I have.

215whp is no joke for 10 psi, I'm kind of surprised actually. What kind of exhaust do you have? Full 3"?

i liked your car in the first picture, was even kinda digging the e46 grilles on the fender,
then the second picture came in, and i realized i dont like it as much.

dont get me wrong, looks pretty clean, i just rather see hot women in cabbies.

                            quick question, 16x9 esm002 wheels?

Full 2 1/2" with a walker muffler and free flow cat. I was thinking about going full 3". Think it would make a big difference?

It'd be noticeable. All I know is my intake and exhaust setup robbed me of a lot of power at 7psi.
