I read it yesterday :) Nice article.

I always get miffed when someone says it's driving a bmw like it isn't meant to. E30s are slide monsters.

    Status: HG repair. 488wtq though!

Sure they are, the problem is that you don't want yours to be. :)

I'm waiting for you to point out its problems? A maintained (doesnt have to be mint) e30 can be easily kick out the rear end if they are on stock 195s.

The only e30 that I remotely had issues with was an e30 in SoCal that had a bone stock M20 with basic shocks/springs, and 205 Toyo T1Rs. That, was tough to keep spinning, but it was doable in 2nd gear.

I don't know where all the negative nancying is coming from, but show me a stock e30 and I'll gladly show you what it can do.

e30 gangsta used to slide a stock, open diff, blown suspension, automatic 325i. I also had my phase in my old white car before I started building it and had the 5spd/turbo done to it.

I just like shitting on Ary's threads.

My point is just that the average 16 year old's 318 is not the slide monster that you turbo cats think it is. I would rather slide my 535is then my S50 car but that's a preference thing. Put some snow on the ground though and I'm all about the IX... :-D

You know I haven't been turbo in over a year right? :p

I've been drifting a 318iS for almost 6 months last year. It can be done, as long as the car is in acceptable shape. Granted there's ease when you have power and torque to back it, but surely not impossible. :)

I'd brag if I had videos to show, but no vids, no glory. :p But another perfect case in point... what about the crazy spaniard that stopped by to post videos of his stock 318iS with nothing but a welded diff and a chip. The only thing more nuts than his driving was the music he made his videos with (btoks was his username me thinks)
