My old, tired, very beatup whip. (56k should just stay away)

So, I've finally gotten off my ass to take some pictures of my car. I took advantage of the fact that she was just recently washed. She's in a terrible state, but please keep in mind that I bought her beat up and I just haven't had time to fix her. She may be replaced by a '95 M3 soon though, we'll see. Sorry about the huge size, but I don't have any decent photo editing software at work and I was too lazy to muck around with paintshop. At any rate, to the pics!

Someone had asked for a picture with the tan top up, so here it is. Snapped it when I got to work.

    And here's my girl's car: an '85 E28 525e..

At least your paint isn't too faded (kinda like mine...)
Me: "I can't wait to redline my car!"
Mark: "Didn't you just break a rocker arm?"
Me: "Yeah, I don't think I've learned my lesson."
      Mark: "You never will."

That's my favorite cabby color combo by far. With a bit of work, that's going to be one hot car.
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

Hell yes, I love the white letter dunlops.

My dad used to have yellow raised letter goodyears on his e21.

I dunno, please tell me (no sarcasm intended, honest).

I've no fellow local E30 enthusiasts. I'm an E36 nut trying to figure out an E30, it's been quite a ride. The few things I've fixed have been purely out of raw investigative prowess. I haven't had time to dedicate to the car, though. If I don't buy that E36 M3 y'all will be seeing me ask for a LOT of pics in the near future. Wait till you see the inside and the engine bay.. I fear Jordan may have a stroke.

You'd be surprised. The car was originall Alpine White. Where you see the flecks of white, that's where the green has come off. There are bubbles all over the place. Apparently the previous owner semi rebuilt her by himself. I've been gearing up to strip off all the paint, clear out all the rust, and repaint her Mystic Blue, but my friend that was going to help me with that is on a business trip, so that's on hiatus until he returns.

Yeah, it's something that surprises my friends from other countries when they come visit. For the most part, the top is always down. At least, when I'm near it. I'm rarely seen driving with the top up; that's reserved for inclement weather. I have no A/C :P

It rains here 9 months out of the year, and the rain is like lightning: one second you've got nothing, then a ton of rain, then all of a sudden nothing again. Only a dumbass like me buys a convertible in a country like this :P

But it is satisfying to yell "wussie!!!" at every Boxster with it's top up I pass during the day :P

Green never was my thing. It's grown on me, but I dunno. The plan is still Mystic Blue. I parked my car next to a Mystic Blue 120d today, and spent a good five minutes admiring the tan top and blue :P

If I keep the car, she'll be hot soon enough. If not, I'm making sure she's going to good people. The head sales guy at the stealership wants her to restore, something I'd love to do right now if I had the time.

Not in a straight line he won't. That's The Ed. Ed the Eta he is. And Ed has a slushbox... for now

But he's thoroughly green. The tinted paper is green.. the plastic inside is green. It's a frightening thing. But at night it's beautiful on the inside; you get to see the early "BMW Experience". The instrument panel doesn't so much glow, it shines, like it has two red lights focused on it. It's badass.

And the Ed does haul ass. My best friend was following me to a friend's house one day, and everytime i looked in the mirrors it looked like I was being pursued. And she's one helluva driver.

Ok, I've lost count of the posts I've replied to. :P

I've got some requests of the community, if you guys would be willing to help me.

Tell me everything you see wrong with this car on the pictures I've posted and the ones I will. You guys love to nitpick, please do so now. I need information from people that actually know. No matter how obvious a flaw it is, if it hasn't been stated share :P

Except for stuff like "get rid of the diving boards" or "drop the damned car". I'm more concerned with returning the old girl to her former glory before I jump ahead to better.

Pics of the interior (that's somewhat scary), the engine bay (that's horrible) and the trunk (that's downright terrifying, you'll see why) are to come tomorrow. You'll even get to check out my spiffy zip tie fixes :P

It looks like your rockers missing a strip, but I didn't know there was a strip there to miss.
