Newbie from the UK - 318is

Hi, I've had this as my little project since September, where she looked like this:

I put on an is lip, and it shattered after having some new suspension (Weitec ultra GT 60/40mm kit), so have put on a totally different spoiler stolen from a beautiful e30 on here (E30Trashes, car porn!) and got so annoyed with my corroded mirrors I restored them, painted them black and then vinyled them!

    Tada:

It's an on-going project, I've this weekend blacked the grill, may ass around with some vinyl on there cos it's easily reversible! The suspension has settled a bit, love the way it sits at the moment!

On the hunt for some wheels currently...

    i like the b3 lip...

it'd look a lot better on there if you were lower though.

It has settled a bit more... But in fairness it's as low as I can go for my daily drive and living in the sticks - got me a sump guard on there as it was scraping like a beast everywhere!

How do you like the Weitecs? Stiff, soft? Give me a brief description. Mine are supposedly on the way, but I doubt it.

I like them! I had some crap kit on before hand (unbranded) and that was crashy and just not plesant to drive.

I just went with the Weitecs as I saw they are made by KW and they are a reputable company...

But, she rides harder than before without being crashy, and feels good when you give it the beans. In short I can only compare it to what was on there and its 100% better all round. They've only been on a month, and done less than 500 miles, haha!

I was a bit annoyed as when the kit arrived it didn't have the caps to mount the shock in the strut, but after emailing them they shipped them to the garage from Germany in 2 working days, so was impressed with that.

I know you live in the sticks, but I'm sure you can go lower. Just drive smart and don't hit pot holes. Shit, you should see my neighborhood

You are missing your sideview mirrors?
              edit: damn I found them

Naa man, going any lower wouldn't work - I can't get up my driveway without scraping, plus I like how it sits and drives which is the main thing! It's gotta be usable...

Did the lip require any modification?
                  I'm seriously considering it.

A fair bit of cutting and checking! I think it took about 4 hours in total with a Dremel and minor cuts, mounting, checking, umounting, cutting etc!

                      What needed cutting exactly?
Were the ends just too long?

Yep, its far too big as standard, but it comes in 2 pieces which makes it easier! :)
