And removing a m3's stock drivetrain, the most sought after part of the car, is acceptable? As well as using fiberglass panels? At least his is OEM (to a much greater degree)

                      1. He has an s50 in his car.

                      2. He has a CF hood

                      3. I'm keeping all my stock panels so that they can match the car later just in case I want to resell the car.

I would never ruin the factory panels, because you can't bring them back to spec. I don't care about the s14, it doesn't suit my needs. It was a great engine for it's time, but it's ancient technology at this point. I'll take the added weight of the s54 I'll be putting in, and counter act that with lightweight body panels.

looks perfect to me. I think yours actually looks lower in those pics than mine-- but I had to bend a few pieces up in the wheelwell so my car will roll without tearing up the tires-- ohh and also mine has been wearing the new plastic wells for a few years now

and it takes a whole lot less time to bang some fenders back into shape and respray them than it does to change out a complete drivetrain(if your a bodyguy) just remember the DTM cars had thier fenders done up just like that- that was my inspiration for doing mine like that.
