Sorry for the delay in updates, I've been incredibly busy in Pasadena so far. Plus I somehow forgot a USB cable for my camera so I had to source one from a friend.
Anyways....
We started off Thursday afternoon at 3pm and mostly all went well despite getting lost a few times(fuck Cali's freeways btw) and a splitter being ran over incident. Other than that all went well.
Anyways on with the pics since that's what important. There were no e30s in our Thursday caravan which to me was awfully disappointing.
Our departure from Phoenix...Out of our crew there were three ESS boosted cars. Made for a fairly fun drive.
We decided it would be fun to stop on the side of the road and collect a splitter that was ripped completely off.
We also decided it was a good idea to regroup and stop on a truck pull off on the 215. Everyone that was passing by was so confused as to what was going on that they were literally slowing to a crawl.
Well that's all for our drive out, my pics haven't been uploaded from today but they will be shortly so keep a lookout for that update sometime tomorrow afternoon.
After standing around for eight hours, I was not really amused...
Other AZBMW/ESS cronies
More cars...
Mid-show tuning
And finally ready to roll out...
All in all, Bfest was still fun but I definitely missed Santa Barbara as the entire time I was completely ass backward as to where I was in Pasadena. I'll be interested on what Jon decides location wise next year. I personally think it would be awesome to have it in San Diego(Qualcomm stadium?)
Thanks for sharing. Soooo many nice cars and even better e30s. I wished that there were more members here that would post pix of thier cars like this one...
No idea who's car that was. I just walked around bfest and snapped as many e30 pics as I could.
Oh and update on my e30...after getting back from bfest I promptly took my "brand new" alternator to have it tested and sure enough it was bad. Wouldn't make above 11.5 volts. Had them exchange it with another "brand new" one but this time I made sure they tested it before I went on my way.
Funny thing, the brand new never been opened alternator failed the test completely. I said "fuck that," got a full refund, and promptly ordered a new reman'd bosch unit. Word of advice, stay the hell away from Ultima alternators. They are apparently crap...
