    Finally joined the E30 family

Just picked it up today. 1987 325is with about 188k on it. Its an auto now so gunna have to do something about that. Its def not perfect, needs a decent amount of TLC but the interior is in great shape. The engine runs smooth and there isn't that much rust. Hopefully I'll look back on these pics in a year and be surprised on how far its come. Probably have to start a project thread once I get started. Any way on to the pics.

Now I just need to sell my Evo X so I can slap a turbo on this bitch.

I used to have the same interior...sad face, I did not know what I had when I junked my first E30. It even had the ski pass for the rear seat too. All I have left is mint pass seat and the arm for the pass.

Anyways, she is clean and a WONDERFUL start.

If you need info about the auto swap you hit me up. I know ALL part numbers for the clutch kit and random needed parts to buy and how to do it.

No thanks to R3V all power and glory to realOEM

Thanks for all the comments guys. Yeah the interior was pretty much the reason I bought the car plus with how smooth the engine ran just too much a steal to pass up.

@ Dermeister3: Do you know exactly what else I can check it make sure its an is? Or you a site online I can decode the vin?

@ ubernasty: Sorry bought the shitty pics there from my iphone. I was to exited anyway to take good pics.

@ E30 F34R: That sucks, hopefully someone saw it in the junk yard and snatch it up anyway. Thanks for the offer I'll probably be taking you up on that once I can get a some cash saved up so I can make sure I buy the right parts the first time.

I'd keep the evo or get a nicer e30 from the sale of mitsu

                        Nice pick up.
Here is the write up for the auto to manual swap.

FWIW it is an 87IS, everything but the front lip points to that. I would assume there was front end damage at some point in this car's life. You can find the front clip pretty easily around here, but it can be expensive. If it were my car I would put the original items back on it. Stereoinstaller (luke) and I both have 87IS's, we can help you if you need it. Also, you should be running a 4.10 lsd back there, so keep that in mind when you swap it to manual.
                        Yours truly,
                        Rich
