out with the old in with the older!

hey everyone! i'm brand spanking new to the forum, and i just wanted to introduce myself and say hi. i've spent quite a lot of time on e46fanatics... job situation changed, and i decided i can't hold onto my e46. i didn't want to let go of my auto-crossing adventures, so i decided to build up an e30.

i picked up a 1988 325is that the seller was prepping for racing. he ran out of steam and sold me the car w/ no trans, no seats, and fenders in the middle of a massive flare project (he was getting ready for 10" wide front wheels). the good news was that the car was otherwise in excellent condition w/ only 139k on the clock. he also threw in a 325i parts car w/ a 5-speed trans, fenders, and plastic bumpers.

    here are some pics!

parts car... i still have to go back to michigan to pick this sucker up

here's the e46 saying hello to the e30 before she has to say goodbye for good :(

i look forward to learning and sharing on the forum! :-D

thanks guys! my 330ci represented my entrance into the bmw scene, and over the years i've come to appreciate the heritage that the car came from, which is why i wanted to stick with an e30 rather than say a miata for my autocross car. saying goodbye to the 330ci is definitely sad, but the e30 is a great way to ease the pain!

hahahah i feel like I have seen this car on r3v when the guy was gashing into his fenders and people were warning him. Nice pick up though, looks like you will treat her well.
