My trip to an abandoned plane hangar

So this weekend I decided that staying home is a HUGE waste of time and much rather do something interesting and fun. On Sunday, I spent most of the morning washing the car, hoping that I would shoot Saturday night with a few people. They decided to bail so I gave up and played some forza. On monday though I set out to a place on Staten Island called Miller field, which is an old abandoned airport on the beach that has been turned into a huge soccer field and playground. Now enough talk and on to the pics.
Started off by taking some pics in front of the little garden across the street.

After I got bored, drove down to the other side where the beach was. Snapped some pics and tried to drive in as far as possible without getting stuck in the sand

I think this picture should be used for the next corona ad

Saving the best for last I headed for the plane hangar and look who dropped by :) My dad brought out his new beater. 1999 c230 kompressor with 75k miles and he payed less than a thousand for it.

He and my brother left to go play some soccer and I finished up taking some pics.

So I can say that today was a pretty fun filled day. Took some decent pics and then went back home and had a huge BBQ at my place. On a side note,
Yes I need a drop, Yes I have bottlecaps but for now they are good and they are growing on me. Thanks for viewing, C&C welcome.

Nice car. That red is really nicely polished up.

Really like the C230 Mercedes though...My wife had one of those. It wasn't very sporty but it was a fantastic highway/ road car. The engineering on those Mercedes is great (though different from BMW). It's their "Entry Level" model, but the sound of the door closing, or the click of the switches, or the feel of the seats, is just pure Mercedes. The design is conservative, but timeless. It's not really my style for myself, but I loved the car for my wife.

The car is very comfortable for an entry model. The sound of the supercharger and the exhaust is just amazing. Never have I heard such a nice 4 cylinder.

It's actually an optional choice. It's a flashback to the 60's

Nope 5 speed. IIRC there were no m42 automatics
