The protege, but better. AKA-Lapisblau pt:II

So some might remember my old E30 (which got a whole bunch of hate..18 pages to be exact). It was a Lapisblau 325e that I had two years ago and was slowly building into a drift/autocross car. Well the car caught fire and isnt nothing anymore. So now the recap is gone I'll start with the little story of how I got this car.

So while I was in afghan I was constantly looking for another E30. I searched high and low and every website the UK had to offer. After several months of looking and passing up some of the most amazing deals in hopes to get something Ive been looking for I finally found what I wanted. The only problem was that I still had a little over a month left in afghan and no one to get the car. It was priced so low that I knew it would sell quick. I went to bed every night trying to plan how I could get this car. So I finally get back just one week ago and the guy still had her for sale so I went and picked it up within 24 hours of me getting home. Enough talking, more pictures.

This is the car 10 minutes after the purchase. Paid $9.34 for a gallon of gas.

Rare Glass sunroof from the dealer.

    Simple and clean interior.

Bimmer Club, one day ill make the hour drive up to silverstone to see what its all about.

I then bought some items for it.
    Mtech1 Bumper
    Mtech1 Skirts
    Mtech1 spoiler
    Mtech1 Rear Apron
    Mtech1 steering wheel

    I then installed coilovers

    Coilovers doing work.

I then drove down to London and got my wheels. I polished one and decided Id just wait for winter to come to polish them, so I painted them for now.

Here it is now, 2 weeks after buying it. I had to cut 1.5" off the front mudflap so I wasnt a bulldozer to every rock.

This is low as the England roads will let me. If I didnt live on such bad roads it would go lower.

    Future plans:
    318is Interior
    &
    Engine Swap

Note-After lowering the car I have decided not to put the Mtech1 kit on because I dont think it will look good. And before anyone mentions it, I do have the centercaps for the wheels, just need to get the screws for them

UPDATE Newer photos. Nothing has changed.

Thanks. There's been people that tell me the mudflaps look out of place but I love them. Plus, it sort of helps with all the rain here. :)

Here's some daylight pictures with the MTECH1 lip spoiler. I have mixed feelings on it.

So these are early euro bumpers instead of the DB bumpers that litter US soil? I like 'em... I could deal with an Early car with euro bumpers in my drive way.

Very nice car. I love Type As, I roll on a set of 16x7.5s. I agree with the Mtech decision. Looks great the way it sits

i actually kinda dig the mudflaps for some reason... car looks great.

for the love of god though have somebody who knows what they are doing balance your wheels and get the weights out of the lips.

I was waiting for that. But yea, I was kinda pissed but I bought the wheels with tires off someone else. Once I get new tires ill get the weights on the inside, like they should be. But for now its pointless to balance tires that will be replaced in a few months.
