christ, there's no way thats fresh out of a junk yard, the paint is still a 9-10 from those pics. i would never junk that car, cars don't get junked until they're smashed to shit or been stipped.

ok to clear some stuff up...
-Americans here in Germany are stupid. They will junk a perfectly good running car, just because they cant sell a 88 318i for the $8,000 that they think they can pull of of them. Remember, I found a car in the junk yard with BBS RS 3 piece wheels for only $350 including the car THAT RAN!!!
-and those black satin bumpers are nothing special here. They are looked down upon here as we look down upon the big chrome US spec bumpers in the states.
-and lastly, most e30s in europe, didnt come with oil coolers. as a matter of fact, some late model year cars (ie 90,91) came with bumpers with 2 holes yet had the upper one blocked off. Just for looks. I believe only 325i and 325 I sports came with oil coolers, even my buddies M-TECH II doesnt have an oil cooler.Comment

It does have a slot for the oil cooler, that's what that opening is.Originally posted by kansas-ixvery nice find and welcome to R3v.
Something about the "no oil cooler" valence I like it alot.
It just doesn't have the one above it, which is the one that has no purpose.
Then go find me a set, and sell them to me.Originally posted by E30-330iand those black satin bumpers are nothing special here. They are looked down upon here as we look down upon the big chrome US spec bumpers in the states.Comment

Wow what a response :) Thanks. Anyways, some info. The black satin bumpers from what I see come mainly on 1987 models, the early face lift models. They are actually pretty rare here and in BMW circles, not really looked down upon. The cooler slot has a cover because I have no cooler, but I can easily add one and plan on it. Only 323/325/325e came with coolers here. Some german E30's have a second slot for other optional coolers, IE trans cooler, etc, whatever aftermarket or individual wants in there. My car isn't a base model, it's pretty well equipped, lots of power options minus A/C which is not so normal on German cars even today. Those pics are fresh from the junkyard except I washed it, other than that, she looks even better now. When I first saw it the whole body was covered in thick green mold and the car had busted front end, interior was gutted, etc, so it wouldn't be recognizeable. The interior has these deep bucket seats E330i says are not normal M-Technic seats, I'll snag some pictures and post em up, maybe someone recognizes em. Here's two more old pics. I got more recent pics at the house i'll bring in (repaired original grille, interior pieces, etc). This site is pretty sweet, I'll be back as often as I can. Later
PS. The wheels are BBS 15X7.5

Or actualy buying Euro trim...it is available.Originally posted by DarkWing6Is the only difference that they are black and have no sidemarkers? Couldn't you get almost the same effect by painting plastic bumpers that color and putting smoked sidemarkers?
