    My new E30!!

Just bought my first E30, an 89 325is. Here's a couple pics, I'll start posting my issues with the car soon lol. If you see something odd, let me know. This car is going to be my beater/project car. My DD is an 03 jetta tdi.

I took these pics just as general reference, you want some specific shots?

looks like it just needs some overall bodywork.

I don't see anything odd at all.

            For an 89 325is, I noticed these 2 things:

            - It does not have the rearview mirror with map lights.
            - Non-sport steering wheel.

The door panels are also different. one is hounds-tooth the other is leather. A lot of small odds and ends with the body needs to be done. My first concern is making sure everything mechanical is sound, regardless of what the po told me. I also need a strut bolt on the passenger tower. the steering wheel and column felt a little loose, like the turn signal stem is very wiggly. is this an e30 over time kind of deal or the effects of a wheel swap? Bimmerista, nice avatar ;)

Those were from the previous owner. I hate them with a passion. My friends told me when i had them on, that the road looked like i was developing film lol.

How many miles and would you be willing to share what you paid?

the odo's last reading was 181, so ive no clue as to the actual mileage. id rather not post what i paid, but he was asking 2700. i got it for cheaper, but i still overpaid. the engine runs like a tank, the rear subframe and diff were replaced, and the half shafts are new. Ive got zero leaks of any fluid. including ac lol, im not draining outside the car. i get some water puddling when my ac is on. but overall, its pretty solid. i just need an alignment and some new tires.
