I didn't get it done yet, but for her 4th year present almost finished replacing old chrome trim with the 318is trim. In the process ripped the old headliner out to make room for new.

Removing the old shadowline trim was pretty easy from a 91 318is, but installing it was another story. Pinepig showed me the "wire" trick, by wrapping it around the rear window seal and then pulling the wire/string to let the window seal pop in it's place. Too bad you can't do this on the rear glass seal.

Anyways, got most of the trim done, just need to get a couple clips to mount the upper/lower door sections.

My headliner, now I get to make sure nothing is rattling and I'll replace the old worn out foam etc before putting new headliner in.





After replacing the engine harness and throwing a small filter on there (keep an eye on your e32/e34 intake boxes as they run into the spark plug wires), I know it's not ideal and all but this will do for now. I will probably run it behind the headlight area for it to pull cooler air. One thing that I don't like about m30s is the location of the tb/intake....

No offense, but it kinda looked better before.. I liked the old school look with the mesh wheels and having the gold contrast with the black.. I would have put euro bumpers o it, with no valances and went with it.. But an e30 is an e30.. goodluck with it man!

Thanks. I'll clean it up and take better ones once shadowline trim is done....just wanted to a share a few pics as I was 50/50 about doing the swap but I deff. like it.

I dont know if I would do that shadowlining to both trims.. I would do it like mine since you have the silver wheels and the chrome euros.. I have chrome on the top, but the bottom is all shadowlined.

I thought about that, but decided I wanted all black trim if I was going to go through this hassle. Pinepig is trying to talk me into doing a black chrome on the bumpers, but it's too much so I might have them done in black powdercoat instead.... maybe.
