i would avoid 205/40s on an e30 if i were you. id do 205/45s if youre set on 205s. personally i'd go a little more chunk, or you'll be left with either:
1) a lot of wheel gap
2) a car that is too low to enjoy at all once youve filled the wheel gap
i'm not anti stretch or any of that junk, but what looks good and works on mk3 vws doesnt work on an e30, trust me, i know. :p
