Just wondering, what are your plans for the car? I see you said it will be your daily, but other than that.. restoring it?

    Such a cool car..

Just a bunch of small stuff - shoulder seat belts, fog lights, sound system, steering wheel wrap, actually i'm trying to find the stuff to wrap around it that looks like a golf club handle, something similar to this-

and then yes to just restore stuff on it, and get it painted a classic benz color... i was thinking this color -

But i'm not sure exactly which color yet. Everyone's telling me to bag it, but i'm not going to as the suspension is really awesome, and i don't wanna fuck it up.

Whoever told you to bag it should be drowned.

Well, keep up with the pics! I'd like to see more of this!

That steering wheel and dash are soooo classic Benz. Get a hood ornament and paint it black brother. Looking forward to more pics.

My wife's first car was a 61 180e which became my responsibility when we got married, I hated that car so damn much. Hope you enjoy yours, haha.

it's been a fucking blast - gets a lot of looks, it drives really well, everything works on it except the AC and the old radio... which i'll replace the radio, and then get a belt for the AC to see if it works. the AC's actually called "kühlmeister" which is what i think i may name the car. anywho - joey i've been driving it around greer/taylors/Travelers rest area over the weekend, i may take it into downtown Gville next weekend and cruise around a little, not really my thing, but i've never had a car that gets so many looks.

well i live in greer right out side taylors so i'm def. in the area. I'd love to see it in person and keep up with the restore and see how it all comes together. I think it's a beautiful car. I do however think I'd have different plans than most.... i'd want a stock look, but with more modernized wheels/tires suspension and a very refreshed engine. Have you seen some of the reproduction steel wheels that they use on muscle cars in larger diameters/widths that allow for use of factory hub caps?....thats what i'm thinkin!

i'm going to leave the suspension the way it is, probably same with the wheels (i think they look slick) pretty much the only the i'll do is re-paint and get the body work done. then to get driver seat, and back seat re-upholstered... here's what it should look like finished-

But more of a burgundy color - the Original color of the car... which i think is this color-

Other than that, that's about it. The motor was worked on by the PO and has alot re-done to it to make it drive and operate at it's fullest ability. The trans can use some work, but i don't know a damn thing about transmissions.
