Thanks for the love guys.
Anyone who thinks cut springs are super retarded are fair in their opinion but need to do some learning.
No, its never the "right" way to lower a car. Ever.... but muscle car guys have been doing it for decades. In all reality it isn't that bad. its not good for the strut, but considering this car is on Koni Reds, its fine. ;)Comment

Is this the same car in your sig, that you have had forever? Help me out here, I'm lost, with all your cars.

No they are not.
Many e30, e34 and e32 parts can be used in front.
E.g. my e28 has e30 bilstein sports and cut e34 535i coils at front.
A coilover setup like in this thread: http://www.r3vlimited.com/board/showthread.php?t=69493 can be carried out to e28 with ease and no need to get extra parts, all e30 stuff will work, but springs could be too soft, stiffer springs are availble widely.
E34 and e32 struts are bolt on to rear, but they are little higher, so you need extra low ones.
E34 and e32 struts can be used in front also, but you must use e34 knuckle. Fronts are higher too, so the e34/e32 spirngs do not lower as much their numeric value is. Usin e34 or e32 struts also upgrades your brakes.
With e34/e32 struts you can't use e30 coilover kits, since o.d. is 55m instead of 51mm like in e30 and e28.Current:
BMW 320i 2d 2.0 m20 -88
BMW 325i Cabriolet 2.5 m50 -88
BMW 316i touring 1.6 m40 -90
