There, fixed. There's clearly a road there that you are driving on, its just not paved.

To really drive "offroad", you'll need good ol' part time selectable-range 4wd. And ground clearance. Neither of which an e30 offers.

Jolly old permanent 4WD with a locking center (centre?) diff and selectable range is far superior.
