if you would wash it and really polish it it wouldnt look so bad-- maybe spraypaint the lower valance. with 1 complete hard days work (detailing and small crap) I could have that car loking better than most on this forum.
I would be very willing to bet a bunch of cash that your starting problem is the temp. sending unit. there are 2-- the one for the engine and not for your guage.
