    New DD finally.

Been researching and looking for months for the car I wanted as my next DD, finally decided on an E39. Looked at just about every car imaginable used and new but in the end didn't want any car payments so when this 2001 525iT with 5 speed manual came up I jumped on it. The car was in Sacramento area and serviced for the past 5 years by Andre with Tristar Motorsports, he was also nice enough to do a quick inspection in his parking lot for me and confirmed everything the seller had told me. It has the sports, premium and cold weather packages and drives like a dream, couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.

    And the best part..

Nice pick up, I've always had a soft spot for wagons. Hopefully one day I can own one.

Other than the most boring color available that damn near every e39 came in....this is one fucking sweet car. I will even let the TiAg slide.

Sports package+facelift+style 5's+manual=the best wagon you can get. Only thing I'm confused about is that isn't the sports package steering wheel. Unless it was different in the facelift models...

      Either way you win!

Ninja edit: black out the trim, the car will look immensely better

that's pretty clean, very nice! Some times I wish I had a e39 touring instead of a sedan.

Sweet! The most bland color combo of all time but, it still looks great!

Thanks guys, yeah the paint color is definitely common but I wasn't going to get picky on that since it was the first 5 speed E39 wagon I've found yet and has all the good options. From what I can tell, they changed what steering wheel was included in the sports package depending on what year it was, they were discussing it on Bimmerforums.com right before I bought it and that was what I gathered.

Only plans for it right now are to replace a couple interior bits that have cracked and new front control arms. I want to do a short throw shifter in there also because the shifting is just not where I want it to be, gonna do new bushings at the same time to fix some of the slop.
