    My gletscherblau sedan

Basically this is how I bought the car, except it came on bottlecaps, added the weaves a month or so after the purchase. Its my first car and an ongoing project :D

had it towed back to my fathers shop and threw a battery in it and it started, best 900 bucks ive ever spent.

Slowly ive put more and more cash into it, it started with basic matinance and all the neccecary reapirs to make it road worthy. From there lowering springs, m3 front struts and some other small stuff. The next big problem was the paint, it was faded and was not coming back after 20 years in the southern sun so a repaint was in order.

    Prep for paint

The valance had some poorly repaired damage so it was replaced

    As it sits now

After paint there was one major issue that had to be resolved, the transmission.

so one weekend with the help of a few friends and my dad I had the swap done. Of all the things ive done to the car this was the biggest improvement.

let me know what you guys think.

I know the feeling, when I first got my car it had the original sealed beams and the light pattern was terrible not to mention they werent adjusted. Only drove once or twice at night until I said this has to be fixed.

Sweet 4 door I like it a lot.

If you're thinking sealed beams are good you really need some ellipsoids in your life.

              Thanks,

I can only assume they are better, id like to have a pair but money is the main issue. There are a few things that I would like to put the cash into before headlights,
for example: Is lip, getting the rake where id like it, wheels, getting the radio to function again and other small issues etc...

I gotta say that my sealed beams aren't half bad, they are pretty good at night. Very nice car I think I'm going to raise mine up soon and put some cheap stock shocks on. A low car with shitty shocks is terrible. I'd rather have a closer to stock height and with new shocks than what I have currently. Also my camber is killing my tires.

Kinda grew out of the slammed stage of my life.

Im not looking to slam my car i wouldnt want to look like a volkswagen ha, the rear is actually sitting to low for my taste, im just running a bit of a mismatched suspension setup right now.

I think the rear is sitting perfect, very little camber. You do have the low rear arches though. Mine would sit a bit higher visually. I just need to rid the camber from the back, and get the front to where it doesn't destroy my fenders.

I want your trunk lid! There are very few e30s with our color. Hope to see it at some of the local gtg.

On the subject of lights, consider some hella H4 housings. It's one of the first upgrades I did and favoites, especially with some PIAA extreme bulbs. Sealed are like having candles in front of your car. If your just day driving, that's fine but it's a safety issue to me. Smilies>H4>us ellips.

Car looks good. My 88' is my second car after owning a chevy lumina:roll: for a while and I can honestly say that I wish my first was an E30. Looks like you know what you're doing.

Yea i havent seen alot of other e30s in glacier, most people think its cirrus, personally I think its a better looking color. I think I saw your car at the vinyards this year, but I do need to come out to some of the gtg's.

Thanks, Ive been around e30's for a while, my dad owns a european indy shop here in charlotte and e30's are popular around here to say the least.

and these are just some of the e30's we have for sale.

                            nice
