Good eye mate. Yeah. I asked Boone what up with that, and he said the rear rotors were some they had laying around. Which reminds me, I have been trying to figure out what cars the 5-lug stuff came from. I took measurements, but am having a little trouble finding the answers. The rear rotors are especially puzzling -- they are huge. One of these days I will post the measurements in a new thread and get some help ID'ing this stuff. Anyway, the brakes work great.
The car was missing part of the trunk carpeting (I got the missing panel on ebay) and the interior kick panels and rear package shelf were beige (I changed those to black to match the seats).
I spent a lot of time cleaning up the engine bay removing baked-on cosmoline and grime. I built the front strut tower brace, and added HID highs and lows. I ordered a different instrument cluster because the current one has an odometer that appears to be recording in kilometers (it shows 10 miles for every 6 miles I actually drive). I added the Supersprint muffler (before, it had straight pipes).
This car has a differential with 4:10:1 gearing. That works OK with the normal transmission used in e30's which has an overdrive 5th gear. But the e36 M3 transmission in this car is 1:1 in 5th, which means the engine is really spinning fast at freeway speeds. So today I bought a LSD with 3.46:1 gearing -- that should be a much better match.
Hey, those Saturday Euro Meets sound like fun... but do they really meet at 8:00 at night? It is dark by then this time of year.---
