shoulda've kept the green centers, but now your car is alot friendlier to all the "gurus" here
on the boards, and being accepted is what you want. so go for it.

"needs plastic bumpers / bumper tuck, 5speed swap, sport interior, glove box, late valance, is lip.....etc etc etc."

car looks good dont be afraid to do something 'different'

I don't want this car to be full of aftermarket stuff or extra unique. I actually want it to be all original except for a drop and some nice BBS's with black centers and polished lip. As for aftermarket stuff, 5sp swaps and sport/is stuff, I have another BMW for that.

And it might be that black box, the car has an aftermarket alarm/remote start wired into it and under the dash is a mess.

so I went to Advance Auto and tried to order a "main relay" and the chick at the counter was unable to find it in the system. Anyone know a good place to buy it online or the part number so she can look it up?

Find your year and model here, and it'll give you the bmw part numbers. If you don't want to order the parts from a dealer, at least the diagrams will give you a better idea of the engine layout

well my buddy brought his e30 over and tried his main relay and it didn't change anything. I checked the #11 fuse and it was blown. so we put a new one in and put the multimeter on the external fuel pump and tried to start it. It started and then the amps climbed up and blew out the new fuse. We are assuming this means the external fuel pump might be the culprit so I ran up to advance auto and ordered a new one. Should be here tomorrow and I'll update with progress. Wish me luck! Oh yeah, got bored and cleaned out my trunk really well. I need to get a floor for it from the scrap yard.

You're comparing that to spray bombed sprotmaxxxxs? You're not helping your credibility much.

Areyou suggesting his car would be better without a glove box?

Hit up a local junk yard yesterday and picked up some parts! I got a glove box, side mirror, trunk floor, side trim piece, 325 badge, oe grills, interior light, and a nut for the sway bar that was missing. Also grabbed an oe hood roundel on ebay. Going to replace the external fp today, hope it fixes it but not holding my breath!

Hurray. How much total do you have in it now? Looks like a decent car for 500 bucks.

I stripped the faded purple tint and had a tint shop tint it. I'm prob About 800-900 into it. I also painted the calipers and ordered a few things.
