That must be a horrible ride and it must not handle very well. In my opinion, the aesthetics of having the wheels sunken in like that look plain goofy. It looks like it's missing wheels, like it's a car body sitting on the ground with no wheels. What do you do with this thing? Just drive it around town?

The car is on air. As a matter of fact having the ability to stiffen the rear at any time creating A bit of tendency to over steer the car handles phenomenal. These pictures were taken at southern worthless in the mountains. We did tons of spirited mountain blasts and the combination of air ride and big brakes had my car performing just as well if not better than spring/shock and coilover cars. Plus contrary to what you may think, the comfort level rivals that of stock suspension .
So in essence, everything you said was wrong . But no hard feelings, to each his own right?Comment

I tried to explain this to a few e30 people. But they are just not havin it.
I think putting air ride on my e30 is the best thing I could have done. I love being able to raise it up for long trips and have a great smooth factory ride. Handles and feels better over the coil kit I had before...

i too have been on the end of ALL the "air ride must suck at this" comments. It's hysterical because not a single person that speaks these words has even been in a car with air ride, with the exception of their friends clapt out eclipse or something on the suicide door kit. I too was skeptical at first, and coming from a motorsports background i knew i would take a beating from my friends in the racing world, but in reality, air ride gives you the ever customizeable options for changing dampening and ride height to dial in the best setup on the spot.
I have a company making me a custom set of struts for the front of my e30, havent figured out a rear setup yet. What are you running; sleeve or bellow, and how do you have it secured?

Ahh alright, I understand now. So you are telling me that you raise it back up to drive it normally, and then when you park it at shows and places, you lower it all the way down like in the pictures? Because there is no way you could drive it like that in the pictures with the air fully deflated.
It almost sounds like hydraulics.
I have ridden in Range Rovers with air ride suspension. It's going to be hella expensive to fix if something goes wrong!
Except for the fact that it looks like it has no wheels and is just sitting on the ground, your car looks really nice.
