Wait until I get done with mine, and they look like this (the black car):

Arik, how'd you R3V it? Story? that sucks yet again, but at least you stay a trooper and move along to the next e30. True soldier.

How about FUCK tiucked bumpers and find another 318is hopefully adn swap back to dat. Meanwhile, 87 octance + eta = pennies saved.

How do the 'e' and the 318is compare in highway gas mileage?

leave the bumpers, don't tuck them. tucked looks incredibly cheap.

I don't see where you guys are getting the idea that it looks "cheap". It doesn't even make any sense to me.

Hahaha, the suspension bits alone are worth FAR more than the entire car. :pimp:

                Thanks fellas.
                Mods are all about handling:

                Ground Control Camber plates
                Koni SAs
                Sparco Strut bar
Ground Control Semi Coil Overs 350Front 475Rear
                e30 m3 rear sway bar
                ATE power slot rotors
                15 x 7 Kosei K1s
                Falken Ziex 512 : 225/50/15

Gas mileage on my m42 was nowhere near this. I have gotten 400mi from full to empty with this car several times. My m42 was driven harder 24/7 whereas this is just the classic cruiser 8)

I will NOT tuck the bumpers. It's something that I think is an option for others but not to me, I'd rather go euro bumpers than tuck these.

I am lookin for any m42 either 4door or 2door casually. No rush so we'll see what happens in the upcoming months.

I just fixed the clutch hose this afternoon so now the car is 100% user friendly save the loud muffler.

Almost forgot... You don't need to do anything except for throwing on that M-tech 1 spoiler. ;)
The BMW 318 is back. With a vengeance.

How you like 'em? First time I've seen someone with a real suspension rocking them, your feedback would be useful.

I wanted to see what kind of mileage I could get from them with the full -ve camber upfront and slightly in the back. Toe in at the rear is not as serious as on the m42 as it's not as low. The front is not exhibiting that much toe either (not aligned yet, just by visual comparison)

They are definitely better than Kumo ASXs and the 1st Generation Ziexs that I had about 3years ago. They do good in the rain, and dry grip is very good. The eta can still scratch 2nd nicely (not even tuned up yet). Transition from grip to slip when pushing the car is very gradual and surprisingly enough, they don't SQUEAL as much as you would expect. This car doesn't have an LSD though  so it's kind of hard to tell from a parallel comparison standpoint when taking hard turns as the lone tire simply spins. I tested them about a year ago on Mario's (TIATO's) m42 in 14" configuration and liked them as well.

225 width is definitely a nice addition and noticeably better looking in the aesthetic department. They will rub at full lock up front but that is easily fixed and dependent on the offset of your wheel.

I give them an 8 out of 10 for a street tire that you want a decent amount of miles out of. I chose them due to price and availability. Edge racing and Vulcan have the best pricing on them. I bought mine locally as an enthusiast works at a tire shop and hooked me up for pretty much the same price to ship them in from any online vendor.

Feel free to PM me later on when I have put more miles on them and auto-x'd with them.

Thanks Arik. Those are very attractive to me as well. Seem like a good street daily driving tire.

I run the 512s with IE race and bilstien sports (205 55 15 have you). I have around 13000 miles on them.. Very pleased, good dry traction, very good wet traction. They only get loose accelerating from intersections when im turning in the rain, but LSD will do that. Only complaint is sidewall stiffness. I'd buy them again.

Thats a steal for 500 bucks man. At least you now have that, I really liked the 318, but i really liked the 327i too.
