No Crazy Photography Either, Just a simple before and after consisting of a few days worth of work!

My Personal Favorite

New Roof Rack a friend let me borrowed, and i also mounted the front turnsignals. :D
C&C appreciated.
When i acquired the car it had been repainted and cleared, however it had never gotten wet sanded and polished. Also had been sitting for 7 years without registration.
I decided to turn the car around. First step was registering the beat old car. I was stuck with a bunch of small little problems which were : Whored out old E-Bimmer style shifter, Cracked Fuel Lines, Old Injector Seals, Radiator Hoses, Valve Cover Gasket, and the car was in need of a Valve Adjustment, let alone the exterior that needed to be finished. I might be missing some stuff but, thank god the PO had supplied all the parts. I re-did the whole shifter assembly including the tower mounts, shifter linkage bushings and installed a shorter Z3 Style shifter. I replaced all of the cracked fuel lines, as well as the couple injector seals that were leaking. Finished it off with the valve adjustment, car started running MUCH better than before. Detailed the interior myself, shampooing everything and applying lexol everywhere. :evil2
Next was the exterior, I had a couple friends help with the sanding, got the car completely sanded, and started polishing. It got rid of most of the orange peel and the entire layer of 6 year old tree sap off the paint, brought back the shine. :) Cleaned and Back to Blacked all of the exterior trim and grills and on those went on.
Next were the wheels which i just decided to try and refinish myself, no crazy work. Just started sanding the tarnished lips with 800, followed with 1500 grit and then hit it with metal polish, shined up good. Then i just masked the centers bought some paint, and sprayed a metallic gunmetal. ;)
Basically,
1985 535i
5 Speed
Peugeot Gray(Repaint)/Shwarz Interior
Bilstein Sports W/Vogtland Springs (less then 1000 miles)
Epsilon Mesh Wheels
Z3 Shifter
Soon:
Custom Exhaust consisting of single 2.5in.
No Cats, 26in resonator W/Magnaflow muffler.
Some sort of bumper or trim for the front and rear.
Enjoy.
Oh and thank MR 325 for letting me borrow his worth more then gold roof rack. ;)
