Not the sepang one, so dont get all excited.
Well I picked this e30 up last weekend. It is a 91 318is with 151k on it. The seller listed it to have a bad motor with no compression on 2 cylinders. I was just going to part it out and call it a day. But after looking over it and realizing a few things I just had to see if I could get it running.
First problem was no fuel in the tank. So I went and got a few gallons and dumped it in. Then after realizing the pump wasnt kicking on I decided to beat on the pump while cranking it and BAM, She now has fuel. Something didnt sound right when it was firing so I took a look at all of the plugs and come to find out 2 of the plug wires was crossed. So I clean all the plugs, put the wires in the correct order and she fired right up on the first crank.
After letting it run for a while and listening to what was going on. I thought to myself that this had to be the most quiet M42 I have ever heard. This thing runs like a top and Im very happy that I decided to take a look at it instead of just ripping it apart.
The guy I got the car from actually bought it for parts but I didnt see to much missing other than the A/C fan, bumper cover and one of the trims. They cut the reinforcement bar and valance for what reason I dont know why. But none of this is a big deal and will be takin care of very soon along with some vac leaks and a leaky pan gasket.
Sorry for so much talk, but here are some shitty photos I just took. I dont get off work till its about dark anyways, so these will have to do till I get time for better ones.
