Laguna Green 325ic - ready for winter duty

The vert has been put into winter duty and the M3 is nice in dry in the garage. We got about 4 inches of snow here in Chicago and I had yokohama Iceguard winter tires in 185/70/14 installed. It's going to be tough putting the car on the road with all the salt because its a rust free florida car with all the jack points straight (!), but frequent washes will hopefully keep things clean. It's got new Bilstein touring and a fresh set of cabrio stock springs.

Once it gets warm, I've got a set of euroweaves, is lip, and E30M3 front springs and E90 drop hats (to lower the nose a bit) to reward her for the winter. Here are a bunch of pics for your enjoyment.

It's a factory US plate filler, so the dealer or Bavauto has it new.

Umm. . . Do you want to know how to keep the factory jack points safe? - Only use the factory jack in those locations.

A lift like that should be using the frame rails and rear subframe to hold up a car.

I didn't know that - I thought it would be safer like this since the load is spread over the four jacking points. Also, I've got a dented gas tank in the M3 from a poorly positioned lift. I'll get it lifted from the rear subframe mounts and frame rails next time. Thanks,

mark my words, you will def. regret driving that thing through a chicago winter-- be ready to be COLD!!!!
its kinda a shame to use a rust free vert as a winter beater in the chi. area.-- but better than the M3.

Ill trade you a vert with a little rust for that one LOL so you can use it in the winter...
Thats to clean to ruin it...Dont know in chicago but in PR its very dificult to buy a clean rust free E30...

seriously, chicago winters will kill your car. you wont notice it now, give it 4-5 years and you'll be welding/painting body panels.

I'm only here for this winter so it won't be too bad. Abusing a nice E30 is not my goal, but this car was too good of a deal to pass up for a reliable daily driver. Surprisingly, it's not too cold as long as the heater is on. I won't let you guys down :)
