The look of that picture is achieved half using post processing (color/contrast adjustments) and half using depth of field. Step back as far as you can and zoom the camera in as much as is practical. Always use a tripod if it's not blaring sun. But this will create the blurry background effect that I think you're looking for.

I was in love with this car, until I saw it was an automatic.... Then i loved it, but I wasn't in love with it.

Believe me... that part will change in 2011

I've just been driving it like a manual trans for the past 3 years, playing pretend =P

At the end of the day, I'm happy I saved the hard stuff for last. 5sp swap and Limited Slip

Dude, don't get me wrong, I still love it, and I would GLADLY own it, I just had to find something on it to dislike so I can feel a little better about myself at night. hahahaha

haha, but your point resonates in my brain. The autotragic has plagued my dreams for years now. Luckily it's starting to slip and shift rough now, so I can justify the swap more and more as the days go on

love the interior. was about to say..."whats with the the mix matched interior??" at the begining but man it turned out so clean.
                        edit: planning a manual swap?

Plans include 5sp swap soon, followed by LSD and Technique Tuning Twarbo

But in the midst of the e46, I have to make the e30 nice too.. both will move slowly but surely.

To be honest, if i had this car and an E30, I'd keep it automatic. Sometimes I get so sick of manual and wish I had an Auto at my disposal. It's a cruiser dude.

I haven't gotten sick of driving manual cars as dd for that past 3 years, I say do it! Love the stance, love the wheels, love the color. Awesome ride man! And I love the front bumper, way cooler than the m3 bumper imo.

You say that now... but I've driven this thing for 6 years now. It shouldn't be automatic, it rips balls around corners. I want to have a set of 'stanceworks' wheels for cruising mode, and a set of nice 18s for driving fast. Either way the 5sp is more controllable, which is what I want, for reasons including driving super low, engine braking, downshifting to hear the engine (and turbo/headers), etc.

PLUS, I will admit that the trans is nice for an automatic, but is overall garbage now that I'm flirting with 100k
