    cirrus e30

    hello,

don't think i have posted any pics of my e30's on here. had quite a few but i'm down to just one now. i bought it as a bit of a wreck mainly because i liked the colour and drove it around for a while. i realised i liked the colour so much i decided i wanted to keep it so i cut all the rot out one winter and then decided to make it a lot lighter and removed all the interior and anything else that wasn't needed. then i decided to put an m52 into it. pretty much every nut and bolt underneath is new as well as a new tank. the rear wings were that bad i just chopped them out and went for arch extensions.

it's constantly changing, this winter it's getting coilovers to sort the poor ride height and handling, fibregash wings and bonnet to lighten it even further. it is getting a carpet back, maybe new seats and the interior painted to make it tidier and a bit better for use in the summer as well as a new exhaust, custom powersteering hoses, rear strutbrace and maybe a roll cage if i can stretch that far.

spec off the top of my head is:

    M52B28 and gearbox
    M50 inlet manifold
    chopped M52 exhaust manifolds
shite exhaust (can't wait for new one)
    custom steering linkage
    e36 rack
    eibach rollbars
polybushed all round except m3 lollipop bushes
    e30 m3 5 stud setup
adjustable camber plates on rear beam
    rollbar plates on trailing arms
    m3 prop
    m3 3.25 LSD
H+R cup kit 60/40 drop (not that great with the M52 and stripped out)
    arch extensions
    staggered 16" hartges
stripped interior and sunroof gubbins removed.
    rover 800 recaros
    750i M/C
    renault clio brake servo
    braided hoses
    HID headlights
    fog lights removed
    kenlowe fan
    relocated battery
    tec1 rear spoiler
    cheapo ebay front spoiler
    rear tow eye removed
    rear plate surround removed
    heater matrix removed
carbon door cards (group buy off this site :) )
erm......is that it? can't remember myself now.

it's no beauty but it certainly does the job.....not much in it between this and my mates e39 m5, we tested that theory recently :D

the day i bought him....looooong time ago

    hello rust

    goodbye rust

cheerio m20 (and your cracked head)

sadly no money shot of the m52 in place as my camera died shortly after i put it in. still haven't got another one but pics shall be forthcoming once i get the engine bay tidied up this winter.

as he stood before being tucked up for winter. this was the first summer in 4 years that i actually got some use of the damn thing.

cheeky pics of my old 335i touring. regret selling this one a lot.

thats all for now. if i remember i'll get some pics of it in the new year once it's back on the road. cheers for looking :)

Meh. I'm not a fan of those flares.

Everything else on the car is great though.

I like the flairs, but they don't go to well with the front lip. Car looks great though! You have done some good work on it.

                      thanks guys.

yeh the flares are a bit chalk and cheese. even i regret doing it some days. i have half a mind to get fibregash m3 wings put on front and back eventually. maybe a job for next winter. the only reason they are on is because the rear arch lips didn't exist past a loosely collected pile of rust held together with paint, once those tyres are done i'll be able to fit 245's on the rear though so thats a bonus. doesn't matter too much as the car was almost certainly heading towards the scrapyard if i didn't save it.

front lip was a lash up that was bought to get it back on the road after a long absence. it is likely to be removed along with the front panel and a replica m3 FB one piece put in its place with bonnet pins or similar. will make it lighter still and also allow it to be removed easily as i can see it being a real bugger to get it onto the ferry for its trip the the 'ring. it will likely be an inch lower with the coilovers on too.

i miss the touring a lot, the towbar and 318 badge lured a lot of suckers in.

Yep. And those flares are exactly how to ruin an amazing e30.

                            Love the touring though.
