    The Heap. A beater...

... this was a trade from a buddy who snapped the crap out of his timing belt. I traded him this car (in much rougher shape than it's pictured below):

    For this:

Big project car plans ensued only to be stifled by the "tragic" loss of the Ford Escort Wagon my wife and I where putting around in. So, in the spirit of getting a running car from a thoroughly busted piece of crap, I had Greg (Gregslow318i) do the following mainly due to my huge lack of free time, experience and more than anything else, need of a reliable vehicle:

While Greg was in doing the swap, I figured, hell, why not go all out?

Greg did an amazing job. There's zero complaints, only little things that'll have to be addressed when both Greg and myself can nail down a condusive time for both of us.

It's a monster of a car, period. But in comparison, it's like Lou Ferigno and Arnold Shwarzenegger had a love child and then put him on steroids.

04/'94 BMW e36 M3 with 131xxx on the clock. The following where taken from the same, all vin number matching car:

    -S50
    -ZF320
    -Driveshaft
    -ECU w/o EWS

KA Motors Carbon fiber intake/shield setup
    "i" Radiator, Supports, Resevoir
"i" dual exhaust all the way back
    525i Oil Pan from Beijbis
525i dip stick, return tube and such from Matt-B
New shift linkage bushings, output seal, ect.

Parts to be installed are: THR CAB's, new CA's, full Poly rear sub frame bushings.

It's running a (VERY sadly) whiny S3.46. It's incredibly fun but, will be swapped for an S2.93 shortly here.

More to follow as the billion little things get worked out. The interior is a mess. The seats themselves (also sourced from Greg) are tan leather, heated seats that work great and look amazing. The carpet needs to be addressed as there's only half of it in the car. A few dings and dents all around. The Kamei sideskirts are in the process of being removed and will not be making another appearence.

Future plans are Euro bumpers, GC springs for the rear coilovers, some different tires and wheels, an EJ Knight skid plate.

It's an amazing little dd, beater, sleeper, whatever you want to call it. It's ugly, doesn't get noticed and hauls balls.

Looks good, just a few things to button up. What's with the ESMs on the front and B-Caps on the back?

That was me teaching the wife to drive it ;)

She's still super hesitant to give it any happy-fun-slide-pedal-action, but, she drives the damn thing spectacularly.

It definately needs some polish, heh. With the "i" exhaust it's really, really passive so 9 times out of 10 cops don't even look twice at me which is nice. Although, Greg says I should ditch the ESM's because they make me look like a drug dealer...

                            Ha, thanks fellas.

Yeah, the white car definately had it's day in the sun. I uncovered a siginificant amount of rust on the driver's side unibody. I have a patch panel for my buddy if he ever decides to really put time into it, but, I never got around too it.

I definately miss my Type A's. Honestly, I think I'd love to trade out for some Type A's again. Damn, I miss those.

The car will definately improve over the next couple of *years* but right now, I'm enjoying the under the radar look.

No more Jay Leno chin. A one off Stainless Steel Raceskids skid plate installed and I'm a bit lower than I was before after some "settling" of the suspension. Working on getting some shorter springs to run in the rear.

So, after some talking, I'll be posting an update as of Monday evening. Hell, you know what? I'll even wash it.
