forealz!!! i used to hate bmw because they are over engineer where honda make shit simple and easy.

I admit civic are pretty damn fast,there is so many aftermarket and oem compatibility for it. choose to go with bmw because i wanted to be different.

another thing, what is so great about m42 motor? to me it seem like a integra ls, lots of tq but low hp.

Overengineering is a good thing, and I can't imagine that honda's wiring is any easier than our own, you need to realize that our wiring is child's play. What's a honda's, play-doh?

Aftermarket for the hondas is a result of ebay popularization, the shit that's actually worth a damn still costs a good chunk of change.

If you bought a bmw to be different, you might just be blind, r3v has thousands of members alone, nevermind all the other bimmerforums.

m42? torquey? maybe in comparison to the honda beats, it's a high-strung engine in an exceptionally well-balanced car (e30 318is) and the chassis makes all the difference, I'm a huge m42 fanboy because unlike the m20/m50 e30's it keeps the front-end light which is great for handling, however because the e36 is so heavy it makes the e36 m42 seem like garbage.

OP, upgrade your flywheel to something lightweight, chip it, and call it a day.
