    Gentlemen, meet the Free34

This is what a free E34 looks like:

    Currently headless:

Fresh head that the PO did not stretch the stretch bolts on:

    Expected outcome:

Yes, I could have just stretched those bolts and put it together. I feel less hackery is advisable as the wifey-poo will be temporarily replacing her E30 with this car, until such time as her car is 100% cherry bumper to bumper and we sell it.

This is the slowest gasoline powered car BMW sold in NA AFAIK, over 11 seconds zero to 60. Still, a car with potential, free.

Guys, I will update this now and then. You will see a couple of unusual things happen here.

and before you yahoos say "5ive speed!" I will say NO. This will stay automatic, even when the wife is done with it. It will also stay M20 until they outlaw that evil turd of a 12 valve motor.

    'nuff for now.

    Luke

i dunno, the M10 318i might take an M20 525i. The 525i is waaaay heavier than the early 318. But hey, that is just speculation on my part.

Tell me about it. Feels like a fat pig with 8 tons of crap stuck to it with the stupid auto.

Nice purchase Luke, why are you selling the wife's E30?

To buy her a NICE E34. She drove CorvallisBMWs clean as hell M50 E34 ('92, I think) and now wants one.

I don't ever want to work on a BMW V8, but I want her car to have power, so I will likely build her a 3.2l 525i or something like that.

lol. I got an 89 525 from my uncle. Headgasket problem also. The differential was a 410open and it was still a turd. I sold it 2 years ago. I really want another e34
