Yeah that's why I put the skid plate on there, lol.

Those GC springs are a little on the soft side, was never gonna track the car so I felt like I didn't need a stiff spring rate.

Depending how bad the roads are where your at, that skid plate will see plenty of work.

In order to get that low, I'd need to cut the strut housing about 2", correct? Noob question... when you said GC coilovers did you mean this?

Nah not yet, just stock, nothing special.

Did get the thule rack on with the snowboard attachment. Snowboard attachment makes it look goofy too, lol.


Been thinking of actually getting rid of it already, lol.

Nothing beats a old BMW, just doesn't compare. I even like the smell of the interior of an old BMW.

Thanks, I'd been wanting a set of the 002's in gunmetal even before i got the car. I think they compliment the silver well. Also really like them with the BMW roundel, it just looks a lot cleaner imo. the biggest shame of all is that this setup has about .1 mile on it because this snow has not relented and i refuse to get this car all salted up, not to mention all the new potholes So now its just working on little things inside, ie.. full detail.. wax, leather restore, and fluids etc. I picked up a cheap kidney grill which i redid in flat black just to see what it would look like. Put some 3-way 5.25's pioneers in for a crisper sound (Keeping the stock HU because i love the original look and i spent last weekend scouring my basement for old cassettes lol).

Also (i know i may catch some heat for this) but i was bored so i ordered so yellow lamin-x just to get an idea of what the high's would look like (pics below) As for everything else i'm very happy with the car just the way it is. Rob (previous owner) pretty much had the perfect car for me and once he posted it up fs i jumped on it. As much as i would love to build the car from the ground up, i work in broadcast so i'm on the road like 9 months outta the year and don't have time/space. I know how it feels to sell a car that you've wrenched for countless hours too because i've done it before with my s4. I just wish she went to a good home like this car did (found it totaled on craigslist 4 months later for 3 grand...)
Now i just wish it was 75 this weekend so i could drive all day. Guess i'll put that gas money in the motor swap account ;)

No hate on the lamin-x. You are extending Rob's work and now adding your personal touch to the car's life. Make it yours buddy! I rock some Lamin-x over my Euro ellips because I want to avoid cracked headlights as long as I can.

I know how you feel. I sold my widebody turbo e36 that I have poured my blood sweat and tears into (literally) to someone that blew the motor 2 weeks later. He had me fooled for someone that actually cared for the work I did. Hes probably acting like he did all the work on the car lol. You seem to be the exact opposite. You are definitely highlighting the car with your own personal touch. Touche...
