    Not an e30...my new e36 M3/4/5

    So I picked myself up an alpine 97 M3/4/5 this weekend.

    Im so happy about this buy. I've been looking for an e36 alpine with no spoiler for a while.

    I brought her home, had her detailed, and then put it in the garage till the snow clears here.

    Heres the details.

    1997 m3 sedan, 5 speed manual transmission
    non luxury package
    182k miles, very well maintained
    original alpine white paint in excellent condition
    black leather interior in very good condition (small hole on driver seat bolster)
    manual heated front seats, non folding rear seats

    full ground control coilovers bought new from bimmerworld, includes the track quality camber plates, rear shock mounts, and rear shock adjusters. 500f/600r springs. aligned and corner balanced.
    eibach front and rear adjustable swaybars
    new front control arms
    new front control arm bushings
    new inner and outer tie rods
    new transmission mounts with aluminum enforcers
    new rtabs w/ limiters
    new oem shifter bushings
    cdv delete
    rebuilt brake calipers
    brand new PFC street pads
    fixed the troublesome power steering hose clamp
    all new fluids (coolant w/ bmw antifreeze, redline trans and diff lube, ate 200 brake and clutch, atf ps fluid, mobil1 engine oil)
    new serpentine belts
    new fuel filter
    new hood shocks
    new throttle cable
    new clutch pedal bushings
    new oem leather shift knob
    active autoworks exhaust, throaty but mellow
    conical filter cold air intake
    HIDs and driving lights
    entire cooling system replaced

    The 800 something mile drive back to NYC from North Carolina was the most pleasurable drive Ive ever had in one of my own cars. And i;ve owned quite a few.

    nice i love mine. went to Arlington VA on the train from NYC and drove home to NJ... lots of fun. good luck with it...

        Nice buy, thats quite the list of new parts! I've always liked the m3/4/5. You specified non folding rear seats, did they come with folding rears?

          I only like the 4dr 328i's and the 4dr M3's out of that chassis...very good looking.

                    I purchased an E36 M3 a few months ago.

                    Has been a constant headache. Hopefully yours doesnt treat you as poorly.

                              Excellent score. I'm a staunch E36 hater, but I love the E36 M3 4-door, I'd love to have one. Looks great!
