Change the intake elbow out for a new one. And clean the throttle body. That is most likely where the rough idle is coming from

The car idles rough, what would be the first thing to check for that issue

that abortion of a TB boot, bmw's dont like vacuum leaks.

Assuming your talking about the e30 having a idle problem.

Said above ..... vacuum leak. Change all the hoses and get a smoke test.

Im not sure how long it was up, but it has a great service record and Its clean so I figured why not. Manual swap will be happening during the winter months still but once its completed and I have the experience, I will help you as soon as you are ready.

Thanks, I ordered a fresh boot today and I will clean the throttle body and then see where I am at.

What the eff...how would someone know that? My granparents are from the Champane region, Epernay to be percise. My grandfather gave me that plate it was off one of his first cars. Thats sweet that you recognized the plate :D

I think i recognize that style of elbow, except mine came in silver duct tape for the bling factor I guess. And the Audi is nice, not usually a fan of that style but there is always an exception to the rule.
