I got $1400 for my near perfect top when I sold it. $180 is an insane deal.

dam what a deal! how much time money was involved in stripping it down and painting it black? I have a hardtop and would love to color match my vert but I have heard it is very expensive.

Because going body colored gives you no contrast, and going black gives you too much, IMO. The problem with the hard tops is that there's too much metal and not enough glass. If you go with body color it overwhelms the car (though it does look very 90's). If you go black it usually looks better but makes the car look 2 toned.

If you were leaning towards white, go for a light gray. If you were leaning towards black, go for a darker gray. At least that's what I'd do (and am planning on doing).

I'd love to have a hard top, but will probably never find one in my area. I cant imagine the costs to ship one.
