Took a great drive yesterday. Got some pics of my ol' girl.

I love days when I get the rare opportunity to drive just for the sake of driving. I spent about 7 hours on the roads of LA yesterday, enjoying the curves and the hills. Altogether about 130 miles. (and breaking in my new steering rack). Just me, my car and a great collection of Stax tunes.

I had a smile on my face the whole time and it just made me fall deeper into love.

My route started at the Griffith Observatory. Then I ran the entire length of Mullholland Drive. Bumpy and busy, but great views. Got off at the end and cruised Ventura Blvd for a while. Turned left on to Topanga Canyon Blvd (this is a GREAT road!) and took that all the way to the end where it meets the PCH. Drove up the PCH past Malibu and watched the sunset. Then I took my time heading back down to Long Beach, got lost in the hills of Palos Verdes. And on a clear night in Palos Verdes, you can see the entire city. I watched the Oscars from there.

ALSO LOOKING FOR OTHER SUGGESTIONS OF GREAT ROADS IN THE LA AREA.

    Some pics:

Where the hell are we, Germany?

Excellent and affordable seafood on the side of the road Topanga Cyn Blvd.

Chewbacca getting all teary eyed as she watches the sunset:

Don't tell my mom I took this while driving:

Yes I did. Ran without a hitch. Still running without a hitch. She's my moving van, my daily driver and my weekend car (and my work in progress) all rolled into one.

        Congrats to you Sir.

I saw you and your lady friend at the Castro's shop when you were there for the rack swap.
